We have decided that it is nearly impossible to decide if an animal is
worthy of becoming breeding stock before one year of age. Therefore we
have decided to hold our kids until they reach this age, all the while
collecting data on them during this "performance" period. They must be
able to grow out on pasture, exhibit parasite resistance, and possess
conformation that will provide structural soundness. For those kids that
don't make the cut, they will get a trip to the sale barn just like the one
